Funding & Sustainability of PSIN
Strengthening the financial foundation of a fully registered non-profit dedicated to advancing Process Safety in Nigeria.
Initial Phase (2020 - 2023)
As a nascent organisation, no subscriptions were collected. The deliberate policy was to first demonstrate PSIN’s value creation potential before calling for financial contributions.
Subscription Model (2024 Onwards)
By 2024, it became imperative to commence collecting subscriptions. An annual structure was agreed, starting from ₦500,000, depending on the size of the company. This provides a sustainable financial base for PSIN’s operations.
Future Outlook
As a fully registered non-profit organisation in Nigeria, PSIN provides a platform for stakeholders to pursue their mutual interests in Process Safety. Beyond subscriptions, funding may also be obtained from multilateral agencies and international donor organisations committed to industrial safety.
Stakeholder Contributions
Contributions from members including manufacturers, consultants, regulators, insurers, and academia.
Global Partnerships
Engagement with international donor agencies and safety organisations to expand funding channels.
Collaborative Programs
Joint programs with oil & gas, petrochemical, and process industry stakeholders to deepen safety culture.
